Dunga has been sacked as the coach of Brazil after the side's shock exit at the hands of Holland in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
The Brazilian Football Federation made the announcement today, that Dunga, whose side were beaten 2-1 by a plucky Dutch side on Saturday, and all his technical staff were being released from their contracts.
"With the closing of the work cycle that started in August 2006 and ended with the elimination of Brazil from the World Cup in South Africa, the CBF announces the dismissal of the Technical Commission of the Brazilian team," the federation said in a statement.
A replacement is expected to be in place by the end of the month.
Local media have tipped Mano Menezes, former Brazil player and AC Milan coach Leonardo, and Wanderley Luxemburgo as potential successors to Dunga.
Former Chelsea, and World Cup winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari had previously been tipped for a return to the Brazilian national side but has since said he is not available due to his commitments with Brazilian club Palmeiras.
